He was abandoned at the age of 6. Both his parents just left one day and never came back. He had no real close relatives but his brother, Cryth, who was eight at the time. Cryth took car of the two of them as much as he could. Azrael learned how to steal from stores, people, even homes so they could get by on their own. Azrael was seperated from Cryth when he was in a house thieving one night. Azrael has not been able to find Cryth since then.

He continued living by himself. Now 13, he met up with a girl who was 15 and snuck food out to him every night after her parents had went to sleep. He finally decided that he could no longer take advantage of her and left her without telling her. He doesn't speak of her name...doesn't really want to remember to using her and not being able to take care of himself. He learned of his vampyre genes soon after and transferred himself quietly to the House of Night. Still has no idea where Cryth is and whether or not he has the same Vampyre genes.
